What Chelsea did to PSG in the FIFA Club World Cup is definitely demoralizing but I'm sure that Luis Enrique would have taken the lesson learnt to correct that fatigue that befell them. Instead of hindering them next season Champions League, it will even motivate them more and make them not to underestimate any team. Even in the French Lig 1, PSG is still the favorite to win it with little resistance from any team that might peak up for next season.
Overall the way Paris Saint-Germain lost to Chelsea was definitely demoralizing and I believe that maybe that fatigue won't build up in them because there is no doubt that if they can increase the amount of work and reduce the stress, they will probably return to their previous state. We have seen that some players from this team have stepped into the void and they have performed well at the international level, we should be sure that these players will probably start with a stronger stamina.
Even though they lost to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final, they should consider it an accident and take solace in their hearts, in my logic it is still true that they have won their dream trophy and they are still at the peak of their powers in League One.
In my opinion nothing has really happened here. They lost a final and now some might wonder how important this final really was. Of course all of these players enjoy winning trophies, but you could see that the final and the whole tournament didn't get the attention that they were initially hoping for. Stadiums were empty, number of people in fron of the TV were low, big names lost against small names. It should be remembered that PSG didn't lose against a semi amateur team. If Chelsea has the perfect game day, it's difficult to beat them.
PSG was nowhere near as aggressive as they were in most of the other games. The first goal was weird as the ball dropped on the defenders head and then turned into an assist you could say. The second goal was weak defensive play when palmer was slowly running through the whole box and then went for a slow finish that was enough to get it done. The third goal was similar, you could see what Chelsea would be doing and yet none of the PSG defenders made that step to close that part of the box and just let the Chelsea attacker get through.
It was a bad day for PSG and the worst took place when Enrique and some of the players went crazy. That was not typical for them and I think it was also a sign of exhaustion.
