So we're still going to see some losers creating new accounts every week to win the manager of the week and manager of the month rewards from legitimate managers? Was expecting some strict rules to prevent this.
It doesn't work that way, IIRC all new managers/accounts aren't eligible for manager of week rewards, you'd need to have played for I think 2 gameweeks prior to be eligible, except for the first gameweek.
Still doesn't solve it - one can literally create an account prior to DGW and still win it. Accounts should be at least 6 months old and active to be eligible. That's how to fight those losers completely..
If only it were that easy to win if you're creating a team 3 weeks in advance, just for one game week out of 38, those who have been playing for long already knows that you don't even know who get to play the entire 180 minutes 3 weeks from now, and there are just too many what ifs that makes it highly improbable... Restricting account to certain duration literally ruin the experience for those that genuinely want to join to play at the beginning of new season, and there are always millions of players increase reported by FPL every season.
Some kind of restrictions are necessary. Chips count towards weekly scores and that means genuine accounts will almost never get it.
But they don't care about that anyway, FPL is marketing tool for PL, nothing more, nothing less. They don't care about making good for small amount of people that takes it seriusly, they care about making it easy to onboard another 10M sheep to boost numbers.
