I came across news that there’s a senator pushing to ban gambling in our country.

So I’d like to ask fellow gamblers here, do you think this move is justified? Or is it too harsh?

We all know that gambling is addictive by nature. No matter our financial status, anyone can fall into addiction. But is banning it entirely really the only solution?
And what could be the possible consequences if gambling were banned in a country? Can you share some thoughts or examples?

Let’s have an open discussion ...
If they ban offline gambling then they may get few solution as from a apart of those offline gambler many might be able to leave gambling. But if it is online then I do not think they would be able to do anything as many a gambling site do not take action base on the so called countries rule and also many a gambling site does not require KYC.
If any country wants to ban gambling then needs to have some good social system which educate peoples about this while banning online gambling is surely not easy because now its spreading and having huge success due to many factors.
Still just education and awareness about loses and consequences can give encouragement to peoples stop this and have some better way of fun and entertainment in last 4 to 6 years things are completely on another level and peoples are spending too much time on online gambling.
Countries those are having strict laws fail to do this and peoples are spending money and time which are surely hurting them, but things are not easy to manage for stakeholders due to lack of education and better system.
