Though I have actually thought about this as well because both physical and online can also be manipulated by the programers or operators.. what I don't usually like is when trying to see something new in gambling and it turns out that things didn't go as planned, although I only used what I can afford to lose to gamble which is just 500# that I just spent their time catch cruise from the environment.
Both categories of casinos mentioned above are not immune to devious manipulation, which most gamblers are unaware of. I can't gamble in a physical casino in my country because gambling is illegal, but I often watch people gamble in physical casinos and get a glimpse of what the atmosphere is like inside.

Whether a physical or online casino is more transparent depends on how you can prove it. Many online casinos claim provably fair games and this can be proven, but how can one prove provably fair games in a physical casino? Your final conclusion is certainly correct, of course all gamblers should consider gambling with an amount they can afford to lose.
