Hoooooly mother of everything blessed. Nobody talked about it that much, I just learned that Gasperini moved to Roma?? That is insane, dude has managed Atalanta for 400+ games, from 2016 until now, and Atalanta now lost him? I thought Roma was doing great with Ranieri, what happened with Ranieri that he left and Roma had to find someone else?

I mean Ranieri took a team that was just 4 points above relegation zone, and finished 5th place and he barely missed UCL spot with 1 point, if he got that then he would have taken a team 4 points away from relegation to UCL spot in such short span of time. Obviously Ranieri wanted to go back to retiring. Gasperini is a huge deal, Roma will do amazing with him, it's a long term deal but will get great for them.
I think that was the purpose why Roma sign back Ranieri, his task is to save Roma from relegation zone and Roma know Ranieri won't able to make Roma to get trophies. Gasperini is better than Ranieri, he can brought Atalanta to won Europa League, as we know Atalanta is just a mediocre team in Serie A, although it took a long time for Gasperini to get trophy.

Who knows Gasperini might able to bring a trophy for Roma.
He achieved historic success by leading Atalanta to the UEFA Europa League title in the 2023-2024 season. Now he's transferred to Roma, man, what's going on in this league? I don't know if Ranieri was doing well either, but perhaps his approach wasn't fully aligned with the club's long-term goals.

A manager like Gasperini, who plays attacking football and specializes in developing young players, might have been seen as more suited to this vision. While Gasperini's move to Roma doesn't overshadow his incredible legacy at Atalanta, it's a huge loss for Atalanta. I can imagine the disappointment of Atalanta fans.
Gasperini was one coach that has the experience and turns things around in any club that he goes so I expect that Roma should be flying in high spirits and level because things are going to change with the arrival of Gasperini in Roma.

With the way and manner that Atlanta rise under Gasperini I expect thesame kind of performance in Roma but this is not a good one for Atlanta as a club because their top players are leaving including the head coach Atlanta is going to struggle come next season
