In 2021 when Ronaldo made back a second return to Manchester United, as it was stated in the interview he made, which part of it was the dilapidation state of team and training facilities. He said things didn't change that it's almost the same way he left things back in 2009 that's how they are. Of course we all know that in that period of time his played for Real Madrid and Juventus and noticed that these teams had upgraded facilities unlike United. It's announced now that the club management has taken that criticism into account and are now upgrading Carrington which is their training ground with around £50 million. That's a whole lot of money and once the upgrade is completed, the difference will surely be noticed.
The reason is pretty obvious Glazers never invested back into MU since Ronaldo left, but rather took funds out of the club and used it for themselves. I totally aware how Glazers was destroyed their own club, by taking club's cash. It makes Carrington abandoned.
Aside from that, It's crazy to see they wasted £50m just to upgrade their training ground. This explains money is everything in the football. It's also the reason why big clubs can sustain to win any competition.
It also confirms Ronaldo was right about that. Glazer must feel shamed with it.
They have no shame, so you can't shame the shameless. If not tell me why it took them so long to try and effect any changes. It's true in what you said that they refused to reinvest in the club instead took clubs money for personal interest. As far as my memory can serve me, back then Ronaldo's transfer was a record fee and Manchester United didn't go to the market to purchase players that season because they were doing well, which brings the question, what did they do with that money? Manchester United didn't make any big money purchase under Sir Alex that that period until he retired. They still made money from sales of players because I can also remember that Tevez left United for Manchester City. What have they been doing with the money?
