I'm not a Barcelona fan but winning two straight games means they're better and they've won La Liga. Whoever manages to do both is the better team.

Xabi now has to make sure that he gets all the players under control. In my opinion a lot of stars in one team is not a good thing. Everyone wants to be treated as a star and then chaos ensues.

Just as an example: Bellingham would be a star player in almost any other team but at Real he goes down under Mbappe and Vini.

There are only a few managers who can unite the egos of star players, maximize their potential, and achieve long term success. Real Madrid has star players in almost every position, and it's not an easy job to make them play collectively. Therefore, Xabi Alonso will certainly need to take a different approach in managing each of his star players so they can work well together. Of course, having many star players can sometimes only attract a lot of attention, not necessarily bring instant success.

Last season, Barcelona was very lucky. Without making many changes to the team due to spending restrictions, Hansi Flick managed to find success by utilizing Xavi legacy players. Barcelona won every domestic trophy and all the El Clasico matches, which tells everyone that success can be achieved without having a lot of star players. I understand that injuries affected Real Madrid performance last season, and perhaps their journey will be much better next season with Xabi Alonso.
