Inter is going for Lookman.
The player given the ok fro the tranfer from Atalanta to Inter.
Atalanta is asking for 50mil €.
The past year the player 15 goals in Serie A.
He is not so young, 27 years old.
Do you think it is worth to spend such money for a player at his age?
I admire Ademola Lookman’s playing style and pace which is something Inter Milan will be needing for their coming season. I think 50 mil is a fair price to be fair. He is still young and currently in his prime what do you expect. If he was an English player he will probably be carrying 70 mil price tag this summer.
Yes, for me, 27 isn't too old, he can still be relied upon for the next five years. I think Inter is justified in buying him at that price, as Lookman has excellent skills and is still quite productive. Most importantly, he's still in the Italian League, making it easier for him to adapt. The players are different, but the competitive atmosphere remains the same.
I don't understand why Atalanta sold this player to their arch-rivals when there are clubs from other leagues who might be interested in Lookman. I think Atalanta will have a hard time beating Inter Milan after this, having sold their best striker.
It's all about the money bro, Atalanta is not that in a better position financial, that's why you will see a transfer like this happens. Though it would have make more sense if they had sold him to a different league entirely because ademola lookman sold to a direct rival will definitely be a menace against them when they came up against each other.
Additionally, inter Milan is more of an ambitious team than Atalanta, so when I see transfer like this I am not that surprised, if it was a team like Ac Milan or Juventus selling off their best players to inter Milan, it would have been more questionable, but in this case of Atalanta, I think it's different from the rest of other top teams.
