I don't understand why people are congratulating @OP for being discipline and responsible with his gambling activity? 
Didn't you guys read @OP didn't set a limit how much he can gamble at that time with his friend? if he was discipline/responsible, he won't spent more than what he can afford to lose and he won't need to take a break for a month.
From this story, I would say @OP lacks of discipline, but the good thing he's not fallen to addiction.

I am still that responsible gambler who has always be in control of himself regardless that I was almost in the trap of getting carried away with the entertainment feelings with my friend.
So I guess i deserve the congratulations from everyone who appreciated my endeavor of self control because not every gamblers who has gotten to my limit are successful of recalling back their lost emotions in gambling. At some points, it ends to addiction.
