Wow. That's actually way too massive to be frankly speaking, because 5 BTC by today current price (i.e $118k per BTC) should be worth roughly over $590,000 at this moment. And it's really nice to know that Gavin Andresen once offered Bitcoin as giveaway to encourage the promotion and creating awareness about Bitcoin back in the days.
Well, technically the price of bitcoin was less than $1 at that time, so it was not that high at the time and the chances of anyone actually holding up till this time are astronomically low, but $5 or thereabouts everyday was still a good amount to get for doing nothing.
So what happened, did he finally just left the forum to focus on other areas or ...
If there is no easily available information on what he does now I would assume he wants some privacy.
