Well Usyk is not an amateur that should be intimidated by the home crowd. The Man has fought many battles in different territories and he always comes out victorious, so there was no amount of crowd that would have been there, that could have distracted the peoples champion. Even if Usyk was to fight Tyson Fury in the UK, he would've won still. Well Dubious tried but he wasn't up to the fight against the great champion Usyk. Congratulations to Usyk on his well deserved victory.
Dubois just didn't have the tools to defeat Usyk. No amount of training can significantly increase the speed or fight IQ. This is something you either have or you don't. Ring experience was also heavily in Usyk's favour. All Daniel could hope for was his strength advantage and some luck.
I expected Dubois to be a little bit more agressive and pressing forward more, but maybe his team figured that's what Usyk is expecting, so they went with more balanced strategy.
What's next for Usyk? Parker (currently holding an interim WBO belt) is an obvious choice, but it's not necessarily a super-exciting fight, so I wouldn't be too shocked if Usyk and his team decided to go with something else.
