Thanks for explaining DireWolfM14
Good thing you didn't click on the email  Smiley

It would probably take you to a fake Ledger page to do a supposed firmware update and would ask for your seed

The emails that the scammers are creating are almost perfect, they make us doubt if it's legitimate or not, but always check the sender and look for the official community to see if something is going on or not
It was nice of you to come and explain again  Wink
The fact that the OP initially believed this was a legitimate message from Ledger raises the alarm we should be aware of when it comes to these email phishing attacks. We recently had a Trezor phishing attack, but this was the most elaborate yet.

Can you imagine how many people must have fallen for this scam and lost their coins?

This warning only further heightens the community's alert, as Ledger Recover is clearly the worst thing to happen in the crypto space. It shows us that everything experienced users have been warning about for a while now: that sooner or later, Ledger Recover could be compromised, whether through remote attacks on the company's servers or a well-planned hijacking of the company's directors and executives, where criminals could force them to reveal the encrypted parts of their clients' accounts.

I have a Ledger device, but I'm increasingly coming to the conclusion that it should just be a decoration on my shelf.
