I consider this league as one of easy gateway of club who actually wish to play in champions League to have an opportunity to do so if only they can emerge as the winner because if not for this league we cannot even be talking about Tottenham to be a qualified candidate of champions League, so actually since this league has paved way for them another will also have the opportunity this season and is going be a long league for them all but considering Nottingham Forest performance on the premier League and Aston Villa they could be another English teams on the finals again.
It is true, The Europa League offers an easier path to securing a Champions League spot, especially for teams from Europe top five leagues. Aston Villa is a perfect example, they failed to get a Champions League ticket despite collecting the same number of points (66) as Newcastle in the Premier League. So it makes sense that they would use the Europa League as an easier path to the Champions League next season.
I wasn't even considering Aston Villa the way I consider Nottingham Forest because there was a moment on the premier League that Nottingham Forest was at the third or second on the table while Aston Villa hasn't gotten to that extent in the table but later on finish better than Nottingham Forest so that's why I think Nottingham Forest should have actually be among the five on champions league, so actually since the club they saw on there domestic league was unbeatable for them so now is a perfect moment for them and Aston Villa and if any of them could not take advantage on this league then there fate will resemble Manchester United who doesn't have the chance to be on the attendance of champions League.
