I know most of you might think I’m an irresponsible gambler after reading this. But let me share a bit of my story first....
I started gambling when I was around 10 years old, IIRC. It was because of family influence, and yes I eventually got addicted. Hard to admit, but it’s the truth. over time though, I’ve seen some positive outcomes from my gambling experience. I became wiser, more calculated, and a bigger risk-taker and I was able to apply that mindset in running my own business.
Now, I’m a father, and my 17-year-old daughter is starting to gamble too playing slots and even doing some sports betting. I don’t know how to feel, part of me feels oddly proud of what she’s doing.
What does that make me?
No doubt with old quote "like father like son", I think father habit will follow by their son learning from their father activities will did by their son. If you can't leave from gabling as slot or sport betting you must forbidden your self or looking private are as the place for gambling and not show to your daughter about gambling.
If they are have been addicted with gambling seems quite difficult for stopping exactly your daughter have raise 17 years old as limited age for joining gambling.
You can find friendly way how to teach them about gambling and make your daughter busy with other activities such as studying, camping, fishing or teaching to be programmer. Looks firstly with your daughter skill and push it how to make them not busy with gambling then slowly will leave it.
