Now, I’m a father, and my 17-year-old daughter is starting to gamble too playing slots and even doing some sports betting. I don’t know how to feel, part of me feels oddly proud of what she’s doing.
children learn from observation of what the people around them are doing and can easily get themselves involved in those things whenever they have the opportunity of doing it. whatever you don't want your child to do, it is best that if for any reason you do such things, you should never allow them see you doing it o make them know that you are doing it while hiding it from them. trust me that same way you started gambling quite early and it disturbed your parent is the same way your Childs gambling habit will also disturb you. life is not so perfect that things just foes the way we plan it.

at least she is 17. the highest you should do is to advice her on how to gamble responsibly so as not to become an addict. maybe if you can become a bit vulnaurable and share with her your gambling history, it can also help her know the danger you encounter and better guide her not to face same danger you faced.
