Another Chelsea player has been brought to Arsenal this season. I'm not entirely sure what Arteta intends to do with this, as there are several players rumored to be better than Madueke, but the decision has been made, so we'll just have to see how Madueke fares at Arsenal.

He's certainly a good player, but his performances at Chelsea have been underwhelming, so I'm not sure what Arteta expects from him, especially since Saka is still in the same position.

Hopefully, something positive can come out of this, unlike previous Chelsea signings whose performances haven't lived up to expectations.

Madueke seems to be being used as a backup for Saka. Although quite talented, I don't think he'll be able to replace Saka in the starting lineup. At the very least, Madueke could be an alternative solution for Arteta in attack, and this transfer is certainly better than what Arsenal did last season. In my opinion, one of Madueke weaknesses so far has been slowing the game down too often, and at Chelsea he did this quite often.

With a transfer fee considered too high by many, Arsenal are now facing a lot of criticism, and Arteta doesn't seem to care much about it. However, Arteta work in building squad depth doesn't seem finished, he's still pursuing a quality center forward, and Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly close to joining Arsenal. This is great news for all Arsenal fans, they can hope to win trophies with an improved squad next season.
Clearly, this ultimately becomes another criticism. If he's only intended to be a backup option for Saka, the amount Arsenal paid for Madueke is clearly a bit excessive in my opinion. Therefore, I consider this criticism to be perfectly normal and will certainly be met by Arteta.

He previously felt this way for Kai, although his performances were quite good on several occasions, but his less-than-stellar performances led to criticism. I believe this could also happen for Madueke next season, as criticism and praise are naturally influenced by his performance on the pitch when given the opportunity.
On the other hand, for Arteta, the situation is currently more risky compared to the right wing, but he's imposing his will with Madueke at this point. We'll just have to wait and see what happens in the new season to see whether their current transfers will truly be successful or not.
