People will only be in debt if they aren't grateful for what they already have, leading them to go into debt to fulfill their own desires. Generally speaking, this is true because I often see many people in debt even though they have an income and are able to cover all their debts. But that doesn't mean there aren't grateful people in this world. On the other hand, I still find people who are grateful for their income without being carried away by egos to have something they can't currently achieve.
Feeling content with what you have is key, and for those who have high hopes but don't see balance in the process, don't expect a peaceful life. Dying in poverty and leaving behind debt is something anyone should avoid because dying in such a situation will only burden others, including family, children, and wives. The desire to own something must also be assessed based on one's ability and how one can earn a stable income.
If our ability is only to rent a house, for example, don't force yourself to build a house just yet. It would be better to prepare and strive to live a simpler life so that the money earned from work can be invested or built into a business, so that slowly we can make more money if everything goes well after being prepared.
