I'm the biggest noob of them all I guess. Why would I care about the ID?

I hate the new design, the most frustrating thing ever is when people unnecessarily tinker with the things that are working.
I have curved ultrawide screen, I feel like I'm watching tennis from the 1st row trying to put a team together.
