I came across news that there’s a senator pushing to ban gambling in our country.
So I’d like to ask fellow gamblers here, do you think this move is justified? Or is it too harsh?
We all know that gambling is addictive by nature. No matter our financial status, anyone can fall into addiction. But is banning it entirely really the only solution?
And what could be the possible consequences if gambling were banned in a country? Can you share some thoughts or examples?
Let’s have an open discussion ...
There must be some reason why they want gambling to be banned in the first place. My country for instance has recorded a progression of deposits on casino for years now and this has becomes a big concern for the government and they have tried to do something similar like this in the past but it seems the bill was thrown into one corner or others doesn't really want to take away what some people are using for me as to make some money.
The problem with gamblers is that many of them see gambling as a source of income which is very wrong. Though, there are people that do make a living from gambling, they make huge investment from gambling that I'm not sure they are going to do well if they try something new and that's why the government and some senators want it banned completely. Though, I'm against total ban of gambling but there should be some implementation to reduce gambling exposure.
