I came across news that there’s a senator pushing to ban gambling in our country.

So I’d like to ask fellow gamblers here, do you think this move is justified? Or is it too harsh?

We all know that gambling is addictive by nature. No matter our financial status, anyone can fall into addiction. But is banning it entirely really the only solution?
And what could be the possible consequences if gambling were banned in a country? Can you share some thoughts or examples?

Let’s have an open discussion ...

Despite how gambling can be addictive to some, to me, what the government should is to apply a balanced approach towards putting up a more stricter regulation in place because for some people they enjoy gambling responsibly. Already we have age restriction where it only a person 18 years can partake in gambling, and another thing is putting a limitation on the amount of money one can use for gambling, this way, and lastly put things like self exclusion program, and penalties involved to punish biolaters of the law , this way people can control what they spend gambling.
