Why do we all of a sudden forget how beast Rashford was some years ago in Manchester United but all of a sudden, the anti ETH did their thing and made him a scape goat from a regular starter in the team to been bench then to been let out as loan. He did well in Aston Villa which was even for 6 months, he did well under a short period of of time and went back like prodigal son because he has a huge contract with Manchester United till 2028.
Yea, Rashford was made as a scapegoat in United, but for the past 2 seasons, he has been average. Let's not act like he has been a top player and they were criticising him for nothing. We all watched him in United; he performed poorly there before he left for Aston Villa. Even at Villa, his performance is overrated. He was good at Villa, but people talk like he dropped some world-class performance at Villa. He was just a little better than he was at United. Rashford is no longer the beast he used to be. One problem Rashford had was that a lot was expected of him, but he couldn't live up to those expectations. The usual English hype caused more problems for him, too, because if he were just another European, African or South American player, he wouldn't have had such hype.
What I can't say is if he will get back to that 30 goals a season Rashford in Barcelona, but I doubt that. With what Raphinha offers to that team, Rashford will take the back seat, and if he doesn't play regularly, he can't go back to that form. Except Flick will play Raphinha as an AM and play Rashford in the LW, Rashford will not be a starter.
