What's your take on this?
Should we invest more into our hustling or working residence or would it be better to invest more into our houses in the village since that's technically our real home.

Is your means of making money coming from your hometown alias village? Do you have the foundation of your empire rooted in your hometown? Are your connections located in your hometown? If all your answers to this questions are NO, what then is the essence of having to concentrate much investments in your hometown. It's going to be a waste of investment, it won't be long before everything go moribund. Build your investment in the city where you are connected and take your hometown are a visiting place for resting and vacation. Maybe when you've retired you can go back there and enjoy the remaining part of your life.
