How come these guys got injured out of nowhere? They were not overworked either. If it was Siraj then its understandable because he played all 3 test and bowled most overs.
Seeing lots of news popping up, it seems like they are leaking news just to confuse everyone or maybe they are the confused and clueless bunch with no strategy.
In case of Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh, ESPN Cricinfo confirmed the news:
https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/eng-vs-ind-4th-test-akash-deep-arshdeep-singh-injured-anshul-kamboj-called-up-as-cover-1495995I am really surprised about Arshdeep, as he got injured even before playing a single test. I am OK with the performance from the Indian team so far. They have performed decently. But in terms of professionalism, there is a lot that they need to learn from teams like Australia and England. Some of the players need to realize that they are in England to play test matches, and not there for a shopping trip.
Sounds like a tactical injury to me, indian management has a history of not using word " dropped" and instead they deflect any potential questioning by announcing injuries and most of the times planting a stories in media.
Anyways, surely they have no confidence on krishna hence they are calling up kamboj as new addition in the squad.
there were reports on Nair and then injury report on Reddy and Akash, if everything is true then 3 changes in the playing XI, don't know who will replace them. Maybe kulli and kamboj as pure bowler, Jurel as batter can make it. Another gamble would be Washi batting at number 3, just to test him.
