Let us keep in mind not all parents in the United States have the economical resources to send their children to private schools, in which they would have it harder to meet with all the payments required for their children to complete all years of educations required for them to get all the way until highschool.
There is nothing wrong with attending to a public school and the majority of people in the country turn out being productive members of society, regardless either they had the chance to attend public schools or not.
The important thing one must do is learning to improve one's life in the future.
True, there some states in United States that do face some challenges in sending their children, they even find it hard to feed their children, talk more of sending their children to school.
But, if they tried and send them to school, it will be a public school, because that's the only one they can afford but there are many productive citizens, that attends public.
So, whether public or private, what matters is learning to improve their life in the future, especially if they knew the reason why they were sent to school.
