Manchester United has signed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. Mbeumo is arguably the MVP of Brentford last season and the highest scorer for Brentford, which performed better than Manchester United. This deal means Manchester United would get a new forward who is used to the league and it's the record highest sell for Brentford. Man U seems to be doing all it can to bolster the team before the next season. They had also previously got Matheus Cunha who was also the top goal scorer from Wolves.
By looking at this acquisition from Manchester united as a none fan, I am a bit impress but honestly speaking these transfer alone wouldn't take Manchester united to the top four position if you ask me, because this Manchester united team lacks quality in all departments, last season we saw how terrible their defense are, how they exposed onana and makes him look stupid in goal, so their defense and midfield is where they also needs to upgrade, not their attack alone, because if they do not add more quality to this team, they will suffer.
By looking around we can see that almost all the teams in the English premier league has strengthen their team, so for Manchester united to be in position to compete, they have to do the same, because I don't think mbeumo and cunha is enough to challenge for a top four position talkless of winning a silverware.
At least, they need to start from somewhere. From my observations last season, United gat no striker and that was why United fell down to almost the relegation zone on the table. Getting two strikes is a good start and with time, more players will be sold and replaced. United cannot change get players for all the departments at once after throwing away a huge amount of money in last summer transfer window
