Right, if we start gambling with the goal of getting rich, it can eventually destroy itself. when we choose to gamble to get rich, gambling will become an addiction. greed destroys people and excessive greed can lead to gambling addiction. we can gamble for fun, not expecting to get rich or build a house by gambling. before planning to gamble, we should take time to think and decide on a specific amount of money and time. we should gamble with the money we can afford to lose. when we have the goal of gambling for fun, we will have self-control over ourselves, we will be able to stop ourselves at the right time and continue gambling.
You gamble for fun. You can still get addicted. You gamble for profit, which can also make you get addicted so easily and faster. The only way is to get yourself prepared before even starting, know your purpose, learn about self-control, and never allow yourself to start chasing your losses, as that one is even one of the worst-case scenarios, as it is hard to get out of it once you start chasing since the amount lost will keep on increasing.
When you have a losing mentality, even if you lose in gambling, it will not have a big impact. But when you gamble with the expectation of winning, if you lose at that time, it will make you more excited to recover the loss. That is why only pleasure should be given priority when gambling and it is advisable to stop your gambling within a specified time. If you are able to gamble with self-control, then it will be difficult for you to fall into the trap of gambling. Those who can control their greed in gambling will definitely get the opportunity to gamble in the long term. Self-control and managing gambling within your own capabilities is the best way.
There is a huge gap between just getting to have fun through gambling and getting to gamble because you think you need to win. The former is able to pull over any time whereas the latter cannot tell when to say enough is enough. I believe in case somebody is able to recognize that gambling is not the place to find the truth, he is much better placed than a person that runs after numbers that are not likely to come up.

There is a word chasing defeat and we do hear a lot about it, but it is not a word after all it is a living example of somebody who cannot accept reality. When you mention that self control is the answer, then I agree altogether. When really it is not other people that control you, but it is yourself. We all love to make attempts to win but when the time comes to stop we, all should make a difference. That is only possible when you understand that not all rounds need to be won.
