Ten Hag would have to be careful with his job at Bayer Leverkusen because for anything that should make him give a performance below where he met the team from Xabi Alonso then it's going to be a dent to his coaching record. It will be very risky that he goes into the new season without backup players to certain critical positions in his team. Bayer Leverkusen is one of the best team presently reckoned in the bundesliga after Bayern Munich so a lot of high expectations will be fixed on them for next season's competition in their domestic league.

from what is happening now, a lot of things need to be observed because this is a different league so Ten Hag needs to be very careful because this is an opportunity for them to do something better When he was in Manchester united things were not going well and now been the coach of leverkusen a lot of things are expected from him.  and from the way it is going the only way that he can vindicate him self is for him to win a trophy this season and the problem now is that it wont be that easy because of bayern kompany will make it very difficult for ten hag, and eventually if the backup players are gotten then they will be able to make a difference for this shows that players are very important.
That's the thing. When a club fails to achieve a milestone in a season then coach is the first to get all the blames and likewise when the club performs exceptionally. I don't know how and what the conditions for Ten Hag contract with Bayer Leverkusen are but I think if one of those was to manage the team with little resources that can't bring in all the needed players in different positions to help the team stay competitive then it's going to be a problem for him, worse than what we saw with him at United.
I don't think the management expects a spectacular performance from manager Erik Ten Hag. I think it's enough for the management to be in the title race and finish in the top two. It's important to remember that this is his first time managing Leverkusen. Furthermore, since he's coming off the back of a successful manager, expectations are naturally very high. The management will need to temper this and give him a chance. Unless he has a terrible season, I think he'll have achieved sufficient success for his first year if he can lead the team to the Champions League.
