The thrill and excitement in gambling comes from the money involved in casinos, not the games itself. Its the same games repeated over and over again in different formats only but the money is what drives them.
People dont actually enjoy losing but they want that win that might come after the loss because they are banking on it. Also the physical casinos are built in a manner to make the player lose track of time.
However this hope often leads them to a circle or loss and despair.

Some people enjoy what the game is all about, even though they lose they think it as part of having fun but this doesn't mean that they gamble irresponsibly though.
