A key thing governments of countries that were quick to try and develop a CBDC is that they forgot these coins need demand to work. When there is no demand, the project will just be a waste of time. It is simply just another shit coin, but the government backs this one.
How do they claim to be against Bitcoin and crypto and then go ahead to try to develop a cryptocurrency? It was totally unnecessary and doomed to fail from the very beginning. Somehow, they felt it would be a way to push bitcoin away. I really struggle to see how the CBDC is any diddfernt from the normal fiat currency.
