I was reading a news article saying that bitcoins will not be safe once we have powerful quantum computers. Is there a good alternative way to store bitcoins safely in such a situation ?
If I were you, I will be bothered about owning enough bitcoin in my portfolio if I haven't rather than thinking of what Quantum computers may do. It's a matter of if, no certainty that Quantum computers can actually do what they claim it will in the future. And even if it were to be so, the anti-quantum groups will find a solution against the attack. To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction. That is the law of physics but it applies to real life scenarios.
Same here, imagine focusing your days on the fear of quantum computer doing something dangerous to Bitcoin and it got solved in a single day, who is going to pay you back for all time spent on worries for no reason? Because if quantum computer is ever going to be a problem it will be fixed very fast.
If he is worrying what about the likes of blcak rock and Trump? They should be the most worried because they have millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin and OP that's not even owning a single Bitcoin is panicking, this is very funny.
I accept that he should spend time on how he is going to start accumulating Bitcoin as time goes on instead of worrying himself about quantum computer affecting Bitcoin in the future.
