Source Congratulations to the Super Falcons as they qualify for the finals of the Female African Cup of Nations. The match was heading to extra time before Michelle Alozie got the winning goal in the 94th minute. The Nigerian side will play with either Morocco or Ghana in the finals. The Bayana Bayana bowed out as heroines because they gave the nine-time champion a good fight. The injuries of Gabriela Salgado and Makhubela affected the South Africa side adversely.
That was very close. Few minutes to the end of the game and the Super Falcons did the needful. While watching the game I almost thought it was an impossible for the Super Falcons to win, because the South African players where tough during the stoppage time.
Well, I am very happy the match ended with a win to the Super Falcons, at least we can rely on them to win in crucial moments more than the Super Eagles.
Even though the winning goal came at the dieing minutes, I never gave up on our super falcons winning this game because they have given me enough reason to trust them in delivering the desired result when needed.
Though of a truth the south Africans gave them a really good fight till their heart was shattered at the dieing minutes, but what I sense is that the south African female team has closed the gap between them and our super falcons.
Their football has real evolved when compared to their performance in the past, and the credit goes to the south African football federation for putting in enough work in rasing the quality of their women football closing to our super falcons, but nevertheless a big congratulations to our super falcons on this victory.
