Hey everyone, thanks so much for all the useful info and replies — really didn’t expect so many! Honestly, I wasn’t aware of CoinMarketCap before, so I’ll definitely start checking there.
I haven’t deposited any real money yet, just exploring for now. Also, I didn’t realize there’s a difference between tradeup.net and tradeup.com — that’s an important detail, and I’ll be way more careful with that going forward.
I came across tradeup.net through a detailed review by a trader friend. The other exchanges I mentioned I’ve known about for a while, mostly from other reviews too.
Appreciate everyone helping out a newbie here!
If you haven't heard about coinmarketcap, then I take it that you're new to trading. It is safer to trade on other exchanges you mentioned but not Tradeup. It's an unknown exchange with no reputation and it will be for your own good to avoid it because scammers all have fake exchanges. After depositing and trading for a while, you may not be able to withdraw your funds.
Not only are they new to trading, but most of those already familiar with crypto, whether through airdrops or other sources, are already familiar with CoinMarketCap. There's a wealth of information about new exchanges and tokens that are of interest to those just starting.
Since he learned about the platform through a friend's review, he should have been able to get some detailed information and good advice on how to choose an exchange.
The Op might be better off researching more about crypto and trading before starting to trade. Trading is also risky, and without skill and knowledge, it will only cost us money.
