So, how much did your mistakes cost? Did they cause you a serious psychological blow? What were your mistakes, did you learn from these mistakes and do you apply this knowledge in practice now? Were these mistakes simply painful, dramatic or catastrophic?
Mistakes are inevitable in gambling because it’s full of uncertainty. Unfortunately, I learned it late. I thought I had a good analysis of one sport, so I poured everything I had into it, but unfortunately, it didn't go my way. The loss is substantial and painful, but I’ve learned that you can never be sure and must always consider the possibility of not getting your way.
It’s hard to be perfect in gambling, so it’s better only to bet what you can afford to lose.
Well that is true, mistakes hurt, are expensive and scarring. But, indeed, just because of this it can be more significant turning points than everything the little victories that you have undergone before. I do not think that failure is all about the numbers we lose, but about how we get transformed. When you can now tell that we should only bet what we can afford to lose, then you are not the only one regretting it, but also know what to watch against in future.
It is impossible all the time, to wait and see luck is on our side, when already, the logic begins to prevail over the emotion. But when we keep in mind the fact that not everything is predictable, we will be able to survive longer. Mistakes that hurt are not the enemies of learning, they are just a memory that we are flawed beings. This is much more important than winning without being pushed once in a while to the ground.
