It's being long since I saw a thread on previous Hardforks.

The main difference between a hard fork and soft fork is the change in protocol is gradual.

Not really both could be gradual. The major difference is compatibility.
hard forks are non compatible changes while soft forks are compatible(backward) changes .


No more Bitcoin forks, the days are gone and believe me it was fun, because many bitcoin holders were able to make more money by just holding Bitcoin
We can rule out another fork occurring
If you are following on some BIPs on quantum resistant address
You'd notice that if a general consensus isn't agreed on, there may likely be an hard fork.
