They built the team for the short term, like recruiting Modric, of course they realize that they might only be able to utilize this aging player for one or two seasons, but I think AC Milan's management did not build this team to compete for the title and I'm even sure they didn't make the team much better than last season, so I won't have high expectations for AC Milan next season.
Honestly, I don't expect much from AC Milan, and I know that the team they are building is not for the long term; it’s just for the short term. Even with their current squad, I don’t think they will likely win any trophies next season. If they truly want to be competitive for trophies, they should not continue building a team with aging players. I know having some older players is good, as they have gathered a lot of experience, but the truth is that they don’t have as much energy as younger players. Also, when an older player gets injured, it is hard for them to bounce back easily, and they may be prone to injuries more often. They might just enjoy their time playing. Based on what I have seen, it’s possible that AC Milan might not finish in the top 4 next season with this current squad. But let’s see what happens let me not try to quickly conclude about their performance next season.
