Now at Leverkusen, he already had a defeat in which he conceded 5 goals in the friendly match. In 5 days, he will have another friendly match against Bochum, who were recently relegated from the Bundesliga. If he loses, it will be terrible for him.
Bayern Leverkusen have a task to accomplish in the coming season and when they play in the friendlies and they don’t get to win matches, it becomes very hard for their fans to have trust in them that they’re going to do well next season. They’ve lost woefully in their first preseason game under Eric Ten Hag’s management, I don’t hope they lose another one again because it’ll only make everyone look less of him and not trust him to handle the affairs of the team going forward. Friendly may not be enough to judge a coach on how he’s going to perform when the season begins, but it’ll surely show the direction we should expect from him and limit some kind of expectations from him when the season begins.
