Getting flogged by Flamengo U21 a few days ago was just a prelude of what is to come. Xhaka knows Leverkusen is finished with ETH at the club, and that's why he wants out before it's too late. Another thing is that he's not fighting to move to a bigger club, as most players would do. He's fighting to go to Sunderland, which Leverkusen is obviously bigger than. That tells me he's desperate about leaving and does not want to stick around when the ship starts sinking.
Since announcing Erik Ten Hag as headcoach, we've seen quite alot happening and I must confess, there's very sign of weakness for Bayer Leverkusen. On a second thought, Defeats is not a bad thing rather its seen as one a little bit of setback inother to boost the morale of the team to bounce back. Bayer Leverkusen doesn't seem ready for this current season based on their current form. Who's Flamengo that Leverkusen would lose to? Common brother even though it's a friendly clash, I don't expect such huge goal margin coming from Flamengo. However let's be positive and trust the new administration of Erik Ten Hag.
Yeah it's has not been going well for them despite just being the pre season their performance seem to be falling off. The team was doing just well before his arrival and I don't expect them to be this bad already by just losing a coach and a few players.
Being a first division team in the Europe top 5 league I don't expect them to lose to an U21 side of any team. Even the senior team of Flamengo is not supposed to win against Leverkusen. I don't even understand why they would play against the U21 and not the senior team itself. It's a shame to Leverkusen, Ten Hag should do everything possible to get things back in order else people will start questioning his management and soon he will be under pressure again.
