This is exactly what am talking about. The high expectations from the fans just as you have raised yours to 20 goals from him in his first season. We forget that the EPL is a different league altogether and majorly above the competition Gyokeres was playing in sporting. Well, it will be record breaking if Gyokeres can help the team win the EPL next season by delivering on goals in every games as Erling Haaland has done for Manchester city.
If every Arsenal fan or a football is expecting less from him then I think there is a big problem, I know premier league is one of the most competitive league if not the most competitive league in the world, but also we have see strikers come and conquer the league in their first season, the likes of Halland, Diego Costa, mitchu, Cisse and so many others come and do it in their first season. Arsenal are amongst the top 5 teams with the highest number of big chances created in the league so I think scoring that amount of goals should be easy for him.
For him winning the league for Arsenal is not something I’m expecting but for him not to score that amount of goals should be questioned. He has played in the premier league before and English football is not new to him so I expect him to deliver instantly, he is not a kid to be asking for time to adapt, if he doesn’t succeed in his first 2 seasons then he will be considered a flop.
