There's going to be serious competition in the West again. A lot of teams strengthened themselves this off-season.
The Thunder kept most of their championship core together. The Rockets got stronger by adding Durant. The Lakers brought in Smart and Ayton. The Nuggets solved their depth problem by adding Bruce Brown, Cam Johnson, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Valančiūnas. The Clippers signed Beal, Chris Paul, Brook Lopez, and Collins.
All these teams, which finished in the top five last year, made these upgrades without losing any key players from their rosters. It's going to be a very tough battle in the West.
I'm confident the quality of basketball will improve next season, and it will be a fun season to watch. Considering both the teams' improved rosters and the Pacers' style of play, I feel like we're returning to the NBA era of the 2000s.
Of course, the rules are different, and we're thinking of this place as a company now, but perhaps a year filled with hope awaits us. I'm especially curious to see what the Rockets will do. Alperen Şengün and Durant will be really good together

Nah, you mean there will be tough defense next season? I doubt that, we are already in a era wherein defense is not being played or it's easy to score basket as compare to the era of the 200's. Players now are more of taking long shots even center unlike before. Definitely though I will agree that it's going to be fun and interesting as there are a lot of transfers like Durant going to the Rockets. But there are a lot of star players that are also out, like Haliburton, and Tatum and Kyrie. So there will be someone to step up with that teams. And then the rookies too, maybe we can see that there will be a close fight for that ROTY award this season.
