Cricket fans mostly agree that losing key player like Rishabh Pant to injury really hurts team chances and his early exit with 37 runs made hitting 400 runs look even tougher. But with Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur still batting there is hope. Jadeja past performance shows he is skilled and if they can build strong partnership without losing early wickets on new day reaching 400 becomes possible. However if they lose wickets quickly it will be incredibly hard to get there.
400 should be achievable. Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur are at the crease, and I guess Rishabh Pant is going to bat again. And in the lower order, India has Washington Sundar. I guess Anshul Kamboj is also quite decent with the bat. So by the end of the day India got to 264/4, and this handed them the advantage. Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes were good with the ball, but Jofra Archer failed to pick up any wickets and that was the root cause for the English bowling failure.
