Real Madrid are still keen on signing Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool this summer. It's understood that Alonso wants him at the Santiago Bernebeu this summer to strengthen his squad but Liverpool are asking for €50 million and Real Madrid is proposing half of that amount because his contract with Liverpool is ending next summer. Liverpool hopes to convince him to stay but his already made up his mind not to renew after turning down two contracts renewals from Liverpool of recent. Now it's either Liverpool takes the €25 offered to them by Real Madrid for him or lose him for free next summer when his contract expires. Well let's see how it goes.

If Real Madrid can leave it this season then Liverpool could lose him for free next season, this was also the case of Trent, they couldn't convince him to stay after he said he was leaving. They would have sold him last season and made a lot of profit off him but they felt they could convince him to extend which didn't happen. Same thing is now happening to Konate. If they fail to sell him this summer, they wouldn't see €25 million or €50 million from his sale, because he will be a free agent.
