I noticed this banner on the homepage which consists of the "Play Now" button but upon clicking on it nothing happened.
I guess it is supposed to open the free WoF spin but since I don't have any may be that's why it did nothing.
That message has nothing to do with WOF spins. The "Play now" in that message means "Play the free roll now". That's not "Play WOF".
Now, there's a promotion in which you can get golden tickets by playing free rolls.
If you sroll down, you will see a red message with more details about the golden tickets promotion and you should also see a banner at top of the page.
