If Milan are really serious about building a title contender, they would double down on prime-age and young talent, not keep re-cycling old legends like Modric and Walker because of experience. We have been here before: bringing in the big names after they have passed their physical prime rarely achieves much in the long run, especially in a league that is getting faster and faster

I said this a couple of days ago, and people were talking about how Modric is still a quality player and all. Milan cannot keep selling young talent at their peak and buying players that are at the eclipse of their career and think they can be an elite club. I understand they are not in a good place financially, but they can invest in better scouts who can get good and inexpensive players that can fit into their project.
Look at how Barcelona have been able to make use of their academy players to elevate their team. They also invested in inexpensive players like Pedri, and now they're among the best teams in Europe. Milan may not get talents like Barcelona academy players, but they will definitely get players who will help them be able to compete.
