Why do so many crypto projects talk about “utility” when what they’re really offering is speculation dressed up with buzzwords?

We’re told a token has "utility" because it can be staked or used in a game or gives access to some vague future roadmap. But real utility should solve real problems problems like trust, verification,

and liquidity in an ecosystem plagued by scams, misinformation, and illiquid assets.

what's your own standard way of judging project utility ?

Yeah, I’ve been thinking the same. Everyone says “utility” but most of the time it just means you can stake it or get into a Telegram group.

For me, real utility is when the token actually does some heavy lifting, not just sitting there for vibes.

That’s why I think Solaxy is doing something a bit more grounded. They’re building around stuff we actually need in crypto like trust and reputation. It feels like the token has a proper job, not just a title.

If the whole thing still works fine without the token, that’s usually my sign to walk away.
