Yes, Ekitike isn't "top tier" yet. But that is exactly the gamble Liverpool are playing. They are dropping up to €95m (and £250k/week wages) not because he is the finished product, but because his numbers scream "future killer" even if his goals do not. This is the new Liverpool, post-Klopp, post-underdog narrative, full-on data cult

But seeing from the way Liverpool is currently although this smells of speculation and seems like a gamble but indeed they are quite serious about making some changes in the squad and I think it's pretty good not only for the short term but for the longer term considering the age of some of the players recruited at this time is still quite old.

They realize that the upcoming season might be a bit more difficult because in terms of pressure and demands it's definitely more than last season considering they are the defending champions. So they do everything so that their performance does not decline and with the joining of several players who still steal the attention such as Ekitike and Wirtz who have pretty good goal instincts even last season they still entered the top score and top assist of course this proves that Liverpool are very serious about maintaining their position next season.

Now after several new arrivals I am quite interested to see how Nunez's future in the squad because with his condition in the last few seasons that has not developed of course this will provide a slightly difficult situation if indeed he still wants to stay in the main squad.
