We are used to say that a gambler should gamble with an amount he can afford to lose but in the actual sense do we think there is any amount a gambler can afford to lose? When a gambler places a stake what he sees is not the stake but the potential win. This is why when he does not win he panics regardless of how little the stake is and he will always mention the potential win rather than the stake as the amount lost.
I use the amount of money that I can afford to lose to gamble or I will prefer not to just gamble. I am very disciplined while gambling and the more I lose, the more I stay aways from gambling until I feel like gambling after awhile.
I know some people that may think like you meant but if using like 1% of your weekly income to gamble, that should not be a problem. Although, over time, it will accumulate and become huge. Bit if you calculate the amount of money you are spending daily for each things you are spending money on, it will be a big money each over time. They is life.
