I'm making this post as a light Atalanta fan after learning a few days ago that Mateo Retegui has decided to leave for Saudi Arabia to get more money.

I don't want to generalise but I think that money, seen as an end, as a good, is the ruin

Money is useful, let's be clear, it is useful for everyone but to think that it is the goal to be pursued by overlooking people or honor and loyalty is something squalid
What do you think about football?
Far back in the early days, up to 2005 I guess, players played for the love of the sports, the honors, relationship with fans and the spirit of unity and winning titles together.

You see presently, most players now play to earn more money for themselves. You can imagine some so-called football legends in my country asking Osihmen to go play for the Saudi team in his prime as the best striker in the world, had he taken that decision, I would've known he's really a greedy person honestly. It's crazy how people, including players have prioritized money over professionalism in this present times.

The may be other reasons why the player left though, maybe he wants to try another league, it change environment, we cannot be so accurate though Roll Eyes
