I'm making this post as a light Atalanta fan after learning a few days ago that Mateo Retegui has decided to leave for Saudi Arabia to get more money.
I don't want to generalise but I think that money, seen as an end, as a good, is the ruin
Money is useful, let's be clear, it is useful for everyone but to think that it is the goal to be pursued by overlooking people or honor and loyalty is something squalid
What do you think about football?
AT 26, Mateo Retegui is still young in both age and career hence I feel he did not make the best decision going for the oil money. He would have advanced his career in a more competitive league like the Serie A, maybe in the future he can consider the option he took now and am sure such window would have still be opened for him. He made his choice which is in agreement with the saying that money is the ultimate goal for a lot of things including the things that takes most of our time
