That is great point about England situation. It looks like Ollie Pope and Joe Root were playing carefully at end to avoid losing wickets. If they can keep batting for long time England should not only get ahead in runs but also build big lead. Since England batted well in their first turn it is unlikely they will suddenly do badly. If Pope and Root can build strong and lasting partnership scoring over 500 runs seems very possible. Getting lead of about 150 runs would put them in very strong spot making it easy to chase whatever India scores next. Everything depends on those two forming strong partnership.
Ben Duckett missed his century and got out with less than 8 overs remaining for the day. If that didn't happened, then England would have been in a much stronger position compared to what they are in now. It was the debutant Anshul Kamboj who picked up this very important wicket. The other one was nabbed by Ravindra Jadeja. Apart from these two, the Indian bowlers were disappointing. For some unknown reason, when Jasprit Bumrah is included in the playing XI, the performance of the other bowlers go down.
