It's easy to say "I only gamble what I can afford to lose," but if you don’t actually set a clear limit or understand your own financial boundaries, you’ll end up chasing losses out of emotion, and that’s when things get dangerous. I've been there too, and it's not just about losing money, it affects your mindset and sometimes even your relationships. Discipline and self-awareness are way more important than just saying the right lines tbh.
